DESCRIPTION:Under the direction of Leo Hussain\, the symphonic concert Awakening opens with Arnold Bax’s symphonic poem Tintagel\, a work with a strong evocative dimension\, inspired by the dramatic landscapes of the British coastline. \nAt the center of the program is Johannes Brahms’ Violin and Cello Concerto in A minor\, op. 102\, performed by Alexandra Conunova and Valentin Răduțiu\, resident artists of the Banatul Philharmonic for the 2025/2026 season. The dialogue between the two soloists highlights the balance between lyricism and energy\, in a work of profound emotional depth.  \nThe evening concludes with Richard Strauss’ Also sprach Zarathustra\, op. 30\, a large-scale symphonic poem remarkable for the monumentality of its discourse and the richness of its orchestral colors\, giving the orchestra the opportunity to display its full expressive palette.
