Concert String Ensemble of The Banatul Philharmonic | Soloist: FLORIN ILIESCU – violin

On Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 19:00, we open the door to a universe where classical music harmoniously intertwines with the architectural grandeur and unique acoustics of the Roman Catholic Cathedral. The concert offered by The Banatul Philharmonic String Ensemble, together with the renowned violinist Florin Iliescu, promises an experience full of emotion and virtuosity.

The opening of the evening will be marked by the work “Palladio” by the British composer Karl Jenkins. “Concerto for violin and orchestra no. 2 in E major, BWV 1042” by Johann Sebastian Bach. With a sparkling dialogue between violin and orchestra, this baroque masterpiece will highlight the mastery of soloist Florin Iliescu, who will interpret each passage with sensitivity and consummate technique, bringing to life the deep emotions and eternal beauty of Bach’s music.

The concert will end grandly with the Serenade for String Orchestra, Op. 22 by Antonín Dvořák.
