Conductor: Tomáš Brauner
Soloist: Alexandra Dariescu – piano
Under the direction of Tomáš Brauner, the Banatul Philharmonic Orchestra presents a program that highlights both soloistic sensitivity and the expressive power of the ensemble.
The first half is dedicated to Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, op. 21, performed by Alexandra Dariescu, acclaimed for the clarity of her phrasing and the elegance of her tone. This work stands out for its poetic atmosphere, with virtuoso passages integrated into a coherent and refined musical discourse.
The program continues with A. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, op. 95 – “From the New World,” offering a shift in perspective with well-defined themes, folk inspiration, and expansive symphonic construction. This work remains one of the composer’s most beloved creations.
