Under the baton of Hermann Szabolcs, the Symphony Orchestra and “Ion Românu” Choir of the Banatul Philharmonic of Timișoara bring to life a project of rare depth – Requiem IN MEMORIAM, a collective creation dedicated to the victims of communism in Central and Eastern Europe.
This work, composed by seven composers from seven countries shaped by the same turbulent history, unites common experiences, sufferings, and hopes in a contemporary musical language. Each section reflects the imprint of a particular culture, yet conveys universal grief, transforming silence into music and memory into emotion.
The soloists Luiza Fatyol (soprano), Martiniana Antonie (mezzo-soprano), Marius Budoiu (tenor), and Alin Anca (bass) give voice to this collective remembrance, in an evening where music becomes both testimony and tribute.
