Under the direction of Sascha Goetzel, the Banatul Philharmonic Orchestra and the “Ion Românu” Choir perform Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem, op. 45, a distinctive work in the choral repertoire. Unlike traditional requiems, Brahms’ composition focuses on comfort and hope, addressing the bereaved through a musical language of remarkable nobility and depth.
The solo passages, performed by soprano Tamara Banješević and baritone Jungrae Noah Kim, blend seamlessly with the choral and orchestral fabric, contributing to an atmosphere of inner calm and light.
