33rd edition, September 27 – September 29, 2024

The Blues Jazz Kamo Gala is the longest-running jazz and blues festival in Timisoara and, after the one in Sibiu, the earliest jazz festival in the country. For nineteen editions, the Blues Jazz Gala was led by Béla Kamocsa “Kamo”. After the death of this great artist and Honorary Citizen of Timisoara, the task of artistic director of the Gala fell to Johnny Bota, partner, for 30 years, of Béla Kamocsa, in the Bega Blues Band. As a sign of Kamo’s appreciation, the county and municipal forums decided to name the event, starting with the 20th edition, the Kamo Blues / Jazz Gala.

XXXII edition, September 23 – 24, 2023

Gala de de Blues Jazz Kamo este cel mai longeviv festival de jazz şi blues din Timişoara şi, după cel de la Sibiu, cel mai timpuriu festival de jazz din ţară. După ce, timp de nouăsprezece ediţii, Gala de Blues Jazz a fost condusă de Béla Kamocsa „Kamo”, după dispariţia dintre noi a acestui mare artist şi Cetăţean de Onoare al Municipiului Timişoara, sarcina de director artistic al Galei i-a revenit lui Johnny Bota, partener, timp de 30 de ani, a lui Béla Kamocsa, în formaţia Bega Blues Band. În semn de preţuire a lui Kamo, forurile judeţului şi municipiului au hotărât să denumească evenimentul, începând cu ediţia a XX-a, Gala de Blues/ Jazz Kamo.
