Bernhard Forck began studying the violin at the age of five. After graduating in 1986 from the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where he studied under Eberhard Feltz, he became a member of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Around the same time, he developed a keen interest in historically informed performance, studying with some of the field\u2019s most prominent figures, including Nikolaus Harnoncourt at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. <\/p>\n\n
Bernhard Forck has been a member of the Akademie f\u00fcr Alte Musik Berlin since its founding in 1982. His role as one of the ensemble\u2019s concertmasters is the result of a long-standing commitment to historically informed interpretation, and he has played a key role in the international success of Berlin\u2019s early music scene. With Akamus, he has performed regularly in major cultural centers across Europe, as well as in the Middle East, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, North and South America. <\/p>\n\n
His career as a professional violinist has also flourished through his work with the Berlin Barock Solisten. His numerous recordings and concert appearances, along with his teaching position at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, attest to both his artistic excellence and pedagogical dedication.
