The symphonic concert French Evening, conducted by David Crescenzi, presents a refined program inspired by the spirit and color of French music, complemented by a cosmopolitan perspective on Paris as seen through the eyes of an American composer.

The evening opens with Gabriel Fauré’s suite Masques et bergamasques, op. 112, an elegant and delicate work in which the charm of the neoclassical style blends with the subtle lyricism characteristic of the composer.

Next, Henri Tomasi’s Trumpet Concerto in C major highlights the virtuosity and expressiveness of soloist Selina Ott.

The concert concludes with the famous symphonic poem An American in Paris by George Gershwin, a work full of color and vitality, in which jazz influences intertwine with orchestral refinement. This musical portrait of 1920s Paris brings the concert to a vibrant and optimistic finale.
