Andrei Kavalinski – Eufonia Brass Academy

Andrei Kavalinski is one of the world’s leading soloists. Kavalinski performed with major orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Deutsches Symphonie – Orchester Berlin, the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra (Czech Republic), the South Korean Symphony Orchestra, the Brussels Philharmonic (Belgium), the Kyoto Chamber Orchestra (Japan) as a soloist and worked long time as a guest principal trumpet with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam.

Recently Andrei worked with the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductors he collaborated with include S. Bychkov, C. Dutoit, I. Fischer, D. Gatti, V. Gergiev, B. Haitink, M. Jansons, N. Järvi, F. Luisi, R. Muti, Y. Nézet-Séguin, G. Noseda, T. Pinnock, D. Zinman. Andrei Kavalinski studied with Prof. Reinhold Friedrich and Prof. Edword H. Tarr at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe (Germany).

In 2002 and 2005 he was awarded DKA and Konzert Examen diploma’s, both with the highest possible marks. In addition to this, Kavalinski studied in Kürten with world’s famous German composer.

His wide repertoire includes works from the 15th to the 20th century as well as those of contemporary composers such as P. M. Davies, E. Denisov, H. W. Henze, G. Ligeti, A. Pärt, K. Stockhausen, T. Takemitsu and B.-A. Zimmermann. Many composers have dedicated Mr. Kavalinski their works. His solo recitals and chamber music performances at major festivals, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (Germany), the Prague Spring International Festival (Czech Republic), the Festival of Flanders (Belgium) and others, received critical acclaim. They are heard frequently on France Musique, Deutschland Radio Berlin and WDR 3 (Germany), Concertzender Live (Netherlands), Klara and EXQI TV (Belgium) and many others.Andrei Kavalinski is also a winner of Richard-Wagner-Prize, Karlheinz-Stockhausen-Prize and Timofei-Dokshizer-Prize. With international pianist-virtuoso Simon Trpčeski he recorded recently a disc with Shostakovich Concertos which received a large positive reaction all over the world. 2022 disc became a finalist of ICMA Andrei Kavalinski is currently Super Soloist of the Orchestre National de France (Paris).

Andrei Kavalinski is currently Super Solist of the Orchestre National de France (Paris). He has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, Warner Classics, RCO Live, Linn Records, Erato, Sony and many others. Mr. Kavalinski is Breslmair Artist and Schagerl Artist, he gives worldwide masterclasses and is jury member at the International Music Competitions including the Maurice André International Trumpet Competition in Paris and the ARD International Music Competition in Munich.
